Review the institute by stephen king6/25/2023 ![]() ![]() I realised I was clenching my jaw so much reading it, I had to pop in a mouth guard. ![]() One disturbing element is the sheer degree of torture the children are made to endure in the experiments, it might be too much for some readers to hear about children being subject to some of those tests. King is the master of suspense and this novel takes that to a new level. The book is cleverly paced and readers won't even notice the pages passing. Though the book is intimidatingly large, like all of King's books, it's an engaging read. Unfortunately, he's told no one has ever escaped either. They are promised they'll be returned to their parents after some more experimentation at the back of the Institute but since no one returns, Luke is suspicious. Many, like Luke, have some extraordinary power but some display none. He’s back to that standard that his fans love. The Institute, much like Sleeping Beauties felt like a trip back in time by Mr King. evil in a world where the good guys don’t always win. ![]() They are all subjected to injections, experiments and tests. As psychically terrifying as Firestarter, and with the spectacular kid power of It, The Institute is Stephen King’s gut-wrenchingly dramatic story of good vs. He finds he is with other children with similar stories at 'the Institute'. until one night he's kidnapped and he wakes in a room identical to his own, but with no windows. Just as the reader will be drawn into his fascinating story the perspective shifts to that of Luke Ellis, a 12 year old gifted boy who has a bright future ahead. ![]() The Institute starts with the story of Tim Jaimeson, an officer who left his job. ' The Institute' by Stephen King is disturbing yet thought-provoking and all King fans will love it. ![]()

Get a life dani brown6/24/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() Zaf has a charity he runs on the side and when the video ends up being good for donations and press, the two decide to fake date for a month to keep the attention going. The rescue is caught on video and ends up going viral. Our leading lady, Danika Brown, gets trapped in an elevator at work during an emergency drill and is rescued by her friend, Zafir Ansari, who works security in the building. Like most of her books the characters in Take a Hint Dani Brown also have some pretty heavy situations, emotions, and baggage to work through, but those things are handled in a way that will tug at your heartstrings while also making you feel like the shit things in life are manageable, and we’re all stronger than we realize. It is jam-packed with witty dialogue (both spoken and internal), which I find extra amusing because I once read Talia saying how she doesn’t think she’s a funny person, but she sure knows how to write books that will make you spit tea out your nose. This is the second book in the Brown Sisters Series, with the first being Get a Life, Chloe Brown (which I also loved). Plus, did you know she’s not even 25 and she’s already published 17 novels, with more in the works! She’s kind of amazing.Īnyway, on to the book. Talia is an auto-buy author for me now and I love her writing style and her vulnerable but strong, real-feeling characters. Thank you to Avon Books for gifting me a review copy of Take a Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert. ![]()

Dark lover book 26/24/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It almost makes the series even more amazing because every book is not just the main female/male perspectives you have multiple character perspectives throughout each book. I did start the series from book 1, which you have to for this one. I honestly can’t remember how this was first recommended to me which is kinda sad. I love everything about this awesome lady and I am so grateful for this series and how entertaining it has been over the years. She likes to say she’s just telling the story to us, that she hasn’t ‘created’ any of this, she’s just relaying the images and information that’s given to her. Ward and let me tell you, she is full of passion still for this world that has been created. The series started with this book back in 2005 and is still going strong with its biggest following ever. Even if you aren’t into paranormal vampires, at some point you will stumble upon them or be recommended this series. There is no possible way for anyone to read the Romance Genre and NOT come across the Black Dagger Brotherhood. ![]()
